Instructional Designer Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days per week in office Vacation: 3 weeks Our client, a well-established Canadian not-for-profit professional association, is looking for an Instructional Designer to join their Learning and Career development team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced learning professional who enjoys combining instructional design with learning technology to create engaging, effective educational experiences. In this role, you will play an important part in the design, development and ongoing enhancement of professional education and accreditation programming.
You will work across online, blended and instructor-led learning while also helping manage and optimize the organization's Learning Management System (LMS). Design, develop, update and maintain online, blended and instructor-led learning programs using adult learning principles Develop and enhance eLearning modules, assessments, videos, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, activities and case studies Manage and maintain learning assets and course content within the organization's LMS Review learner feedback and course evaluations to identify opportunities to improve content and the overall learning experience Recommend LMS enhancements and apply emerging trends and best practices in learning technology, instructional design,
accessibility and user experience Create and maintain process documentation, training materials and LMS best-practice resources Collaborate closely with instructional design, professional accreditation and learning teams to ensure content remains accurate, consistent and engaging Liaise with LMS vendors and third-party providers when technical issues or enhancements require external support Post-secondary education in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Learning Technology or a related field Hands-on experience in instructional design, learning experience design, educational technology or corporate learning Experience designing and developing online, blended and instructor-led learning programs Strong understanding of adult learning principles Excellent communication, writing, organization and stakeholder management skills Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Bilingualism in English and French This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a salary range of $76,000–$80,000, depending on experience, plus a 7.5% incentive and three weeks of vacation. The organization follows a hybrid work model, with employees in office three days per week.
Monday and Wednesday are core office days, with the third permanent office day mutually agreed upon between the employee and their manager.
