On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking an Intermediate Business Analyst. The Information, Technology, and Analytics Division is seeking an intermediate-level generalist Business Analyst for the Business Management team. The role reports to the Solutions Manager, Governance and Financial Support. It is a backfill position for a staff going on leave.

Specific Responsibilities And Deliverables The successful candidate is a versatile generalist who thrives working in a complex and evolving business and technical environment.

Key Responsibilities Include

Business Analysis and Process Improvement

- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements.

- Develop process maps, workflows, business rules, and operating frameworks

- Facilitate process analysis and recommend workflow improvements that enhance operational efficiency and business outcomes.

Governance and Business Management

- Develop and maintain governance frameworks, standards, and policies

- Monitor compliance with operational controls.

Reporting and Analytics

- Conduct analysis to support management decision-making.

- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources.

- Develop reports and executive briefing material.

Stakeholder Engagement and Change Support

- Present findings and recommendations to peer and leadership audience.

- Facilitate meetings, requirements sessions, and process reviews.

- Support change management communications and adoption activities.

General

- Manages initiatives with moderate autonomy.

- Work effectively in evolving environments.

- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.

Required Skills

Mandatory Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Information Technology, or a related discipline, and





- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in information technology, business operations, financial analysis, business management, or business analysis.

OR

- Diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Information Technology, or related discipline, and

- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in information technology, business operations, financial analysis, business management, or business analysis.

Required Skills And Experience

- Business requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation

- Process mapping and workflow analysis

- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query and Power Pivot

- Experience preparing executive-level presentations and summaries

- Experience working with cross-function teams

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute work independently with minimal supervision

- Knowledge of business management and change management principles
