Sinn Studio Inc. is one of the most successful studios in VR! Our debut game, Swordsman, is a physics-based combat game where you can slash your way through medieval earth to become the ultimate Swordsman. Swordsman also boasts bestseller status on the Quest and PlayStation VR platforms. In addition to Swordsman, we have Guardian of Realms, the most-downloaded mixed-reality game, and Zombonk, a top-15-earning F2P VR game.

We’re looking for an Intermediate Level Designer to craft immersive game environments to structure and define moment-to-moment gameplay. They will do end-to-end level creation: from concept to fully playable. All while collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to strive to set the gold standard in XR games.

Responsibilities

- Create immersive and engaging levels that enhance player interactions in VR/XR environments
- Develop level layouts, flow, and pacing that support the game's mechanics and playability
- Continuously innovate and refine level design concepts to deliver immersive and impactful gameplay experiences
- Collaborate closely with artists, programmers, and other colleagues to seamlessly integrate new features and ensure high-quality execution
- Collaborate with directors and designers to invent, innovate, and design the next generation of XR games.
- Research design methods and ideas to support game system production as necessary
- Produce and maintain comprehensive design documents, including level designs, gameplay rules, and balancing parameters
- Analyze player feedback and game metrics to iteratively enhance design elements, retention, engagement, and monetization strategies
- Monitor game health and collaborate with the team to make informed and strategic design decisions
- Continuously refine level design to improve player experience, adapting to emerging trends and feedback
- Provide guidance and mentorship,



fostering a collaborative and creative team environment
- Help lead design initiatives, set clear goals, and ensure they are met efficiently.
- Develop strategies for live operations, including events, updates, and content balancing
- Monitor and engage with community feedback and player behavior to address issues promptly and ensure a positive experience
- Other related duties as required

- 3-5+ years of experience in video game design with proven experience spearheading level design features/elements (ie. creating new or modifying pre-existing levels)
- Deep understanding of game mechanics, player psychology, and immersive design principles
- Proficiency with with Unreal Engine and exposure to Blueprints
- Collaborative and skilled in communication and active listening
- Experience working with tight deadlines and multiple competing priorities
- Passionate about developing skills while continuing to grow
- Strong analytical skills and experience using metrics to refine and optimize game features
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills,



with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and with communities/players
- Results oriented with excellent time management skills
- Organized and adept at planning
- Curious personality to be able to problem solve
- Comfortable being in a virtual workplace for varying times wearing a VR headset

Added Advantages:

- Experience and background with VR / MR / XR
- PC and console experience preferred over mobile
- Experience with technical design, such as scripting
- Passionate about games and working in the industry
- Education in Level Design, Interactive Media, related field or equivalent experience

Additional Information

Salary Range:

$65,000

- $75,000 CAD annually

+ 3 weeks vacation, sick days, employer-paid benefits (except LTD), Employee Assistance Program, wellness days, birthday day off, revenue share, a Group Retirement Savings Plan (GRSP), and more. As of the time of this posting, Sinn Studio lists the projected base salary range in good faith.
