Salary Range: $90,000.00 To $130,000.00 Annually
Netskrt is looking for a talented, results-driven Intermediate/Senior Test Engineer to join the Netskrt team. We are a highly motivated team dedicated to delivering products and services that improve the customer experience when accessing internet video at the edge of the network. We develop a set of inter-related technologies targeted at businesses offering Wi-Fi to their customers in bandwidth-constrained environments.

This is a hybrid role with 2 days in-office in downtown Vancouver .
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of the QA process by independently defining test strategies and delivering automation solutions for complex distributed systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, backend, and infrastructure testing.
- Validate applications deployed in Kubernetes and Docker-based containerized environments.
- Plan and execute functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and performance testing.
- Develop and maintain automated API test suites for REST services.
- Design and execute load, stress, scalability, and endurance tests to evaluate system performance and reliability.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues across applications, Linux servers, containers, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Analyze logs, metrics, traces, and system behavior to identify root causes, validate fixes, and improve overall system reliability.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, DevOps engineers, architects, and product managers throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Mentor junior QA engineers, promote automation best practices, and contribute to improving the team's overall quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in QA Automation or Software Development in Test (SDET).
- Strong hands-on programming experience in one or more languages such as Python, Java, or similar object-oriented languages.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills, including:
- Bash/shell scripting
- Process and service management (systemd)
- File systems, permissions, and user management
- Networking tools (curl, tcpdump, netstat, ss, ip)
- System logs, performance analysis, and debugging
- Extensive experience with API automation and testing of REST-based microservices.
- Hands-on experience with up-to-date automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, PyTest, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and container orchestration.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of Git, version control, and modern software development workflows.
- Strong SQL skills with experience querying and validating data in relational databases.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Zephyr Scale, or equivalent.
- Excellent debugging, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently own testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle, from planning and automation to release validation.
