About the Opportunity A national IP practice is looking for an associate with copyright and trademark litigation experience to join its team, with flexibility to be based in Toronto or Vancouver.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage all stages of copyright and trademark litigation, from pleadings through trial
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal opinions
- Conduct legal research on IP infringement, validity, and enforcement issues
- Attend examinations, mediations, and court appearances
- Collaborate with the broader IP group on contentious and non-contentious matters

Qualifications

- Called to the Bar in Ontario or British Columbia, in good standing
- 4-5 years of IP litigation experience, with a focus on copyright and/or trademarks
- Solid litigation, drafting, and advocacy skills
- Federal Court experience is an asset
- Ability to manage files independently while collaborating with senior counsel
