About the Client

We're seeking a compassionate live-in caregiver for a 90-year-old gentleman who values his independence but needs consistent support to remain safe and comfortable at home. He's mobile with a cane or walker but has experienced recent falls, including tripping on carpet. He's dealing with some memory changes and can feel lonely without regular companionship.

His son is coordinating care while managing his own health challenges, and the family wants to ensure dad has reliable, skilled support around the clock.

Responsibilities

Prepare three Italian meals daily (cooking Italian food is essential)

Provide medication reminders and assistance with medication management

Ensure he consistently uses his cane or walker for mobility safety

Offer memory prompts and gentle redirection as needed

Handle his personal laundry and light housekeeping maintenance (a cleaning service handles deep cleaning bi-weekly)

Provide companionship and meaningful conversation to reduce loneliness

Accompany him on errands and appointments as a driver

Monitor for fall risks and maintain a safe home environment

Communicate clearly with family about his daily status and any concerns

What We're Looking For

Fluent in both English and Italian

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Proven ability to cook authentic Italian meals

Experience with seniors who have memory changes and fall risks

Patient, calm demeanor with someone who values independence

Reliable and consistent presence

Takes initiative without being asked

Pay: $22.00 per hour
