The position is classified at the level RÉ-04 ($66,836 to $85,106 per annum – salary under review).

JOB OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Team Leader, IT Innovation and Client Support Center, you will provide high-quality technical support to internal clients in the development, implementation, integration, upgrade and maintenance of various components of the National Capital Commission’s (NCC) computer environment and operations. You will install, configure, upgrade and repair hardware and software for workstations and printers. You will also be involved in projects that bring new technologies to the NCC.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in information technology, computer science or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
One (1) to three (3) of experience in the following areas:
- Creating and deploying SCCM/Intune package, and installing, configuring, upgrading and troubleshooting hardware and software;
- Working with Microsoft Windows desktop operating system, Microsoft productivity tools and Microsoft Windows networked setting;
- Working in an IT Service Desk/Helpdesk to provide customer service and support, manage tickets and troubleshoot over the phone;
- Using appropriate automated deployment tools to distribute software and security patches and configuring/supporting mobile devices (Android and iOS);
- Working on IT projects and initiatives.
KNOWLEDGE
- Of IT frameworks and best practices;
- Of cloud-based file sharing solutions;
- Of Service Desk tracking software using an ITIL framework;
- Of IT Security best practices.
ABILITIES
- To analyze and solve issues related to the interaction of network components and computers;
- To discuss, identify and analyze problems with clients and propose solutions or refer them to a senior team member;
- To produce basic system documentation, reports and correspondence;
- To effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment;
- To conduct research into a wide range of computing issues.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Possess or eligible to obtain Secret security clearance;
- Linguistic profile: Bilingual BBB;
- Position is in the National Capital Region. The person selected for this position must reside within a commutable distance from the workplace at 12 York Street, Ottawa, Ontario;
