Job Title: Journeyman Electrician

Location: Sunridge Ski Area, Edmonton, AB

We’re looking for a Journeyman Electrician to join our maintenance team for the upcoming winter season at Sunridge Ski Area. This is a full-time seasonal position running from September through April, with the potential for year-round employment for the right candidate.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll work alongside our maintenance team to help keep the hill operating safely and smoothly throughout the winter season.

Responsibilities include

- Electrical maintenance and installations
- Preventive maintenance and corrective repairs
- Troubleshooting chairlift and conveyor drive systems, safety PLCs, and electrical/hydraulic systems and schematics.
- Maintenance of snow groomers, snowmobiles and other vehicles/equipment
- Supporting the maintenance team with day-to-day operations
- General chairlift maintenance

Requirements:
- Journeyman Electrician certification




- Minimum 2 years of experience performing electrical maintenance and installations
- Strong knowledge of electrical equipment and systems
- Commercial or industrial electrical experience and knowledge is considered an asset
- A high degree of initiative, creativity and self-supervision
- Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to safety
- Versatile availability, including weekends, evenings, overtime and schedule changes as required during the winter season
- Comfortable climbing ladders and towers and working at heights with proper PPE
- A team-oriented attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
