Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Jr. Accounting Clerk to join our energetic finance team. In this role, you will support daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial data management. Duties

- Assist in day-to-day accounting tasks such as data entry, accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and maintain various reports and spreadsheets for management review
- Prepare and process weekly payroll
- Prepare remittances to CRA for payroll
- Ensure accuracy of financial records by reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and other ad-hoc reports
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information




- Communicate with vendors and customers to resolve accounting discrepancies
- Perform other duties as assigned by the accountant’s office

Skills

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
- Quickbooks Online experience a must
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities as needed.
