Part-Time | Hybrid/Remote + Whitby, Ontario | $22–24/hour | Opportunity to Grow into Full-Time
Morgan Sarah Beauty is looking for a smart, highly organized final-year college/university student or recent graduate to join a growing beauty business in a part-time Junior Marketing & PR Coordinator role.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone studying — or recently graduated from — public relations, marketing, advertising, communications, business or a related program who wants meaningful hands-on experience across PR, social media, brand partnerships, broadcast media and the day-to-day work behind a growing founder-led beauty business.
The position will begin part-time during the 2026/27 school year, with the opportunity to develop into a full-time entry-level position by spring/summer 2027 for the right person.
About the Role
You'll work directly with founder Morgan Sarah Davidson across two connected areas of the business:
Morgan Sarah Beauty — beauty media, television segments, content, brand partnerships and PR opportunities.
Morgan Sarah Studio — a growing Whitby-based skin and beauty studio, including marketing, social content, promotions, events and client-facing initiatives.
This isn't a traditional administrative assistant role. You'll help keep the marketing, PR and content sides of the business organized and moving forward — managing timelines, coordinating people, tracking deliverables and making sure opportunities and deadlines don't get lost in a busy inbox.
What You'll Help With
Responsibilities will evolve with the role, but may include:
- Supporting the planning and coordination of television and media segments, including product sourcing, PR and brand communication, shipment tracking, deadlines and segment materials
- Helping manage incoming PR opportunities, brand partnerships, media requests and event invitations
- Maintaining trackers for brand deliverables, content commitments, campaigns, media appearances and deadlines
- Drafting and coordinating routine emails, follow-ups and communications
- Helping organize products and assets for media appearances, shoots and brand work
- Coordinating with our existing virtual assistant on social content for @morgansarahbeauty and @morgansarahstudio
- Managing social media calendars, approvals, asset organization and posting schedules at an administrative/project-management level
- Helping ensure content, campaign and partnership deliverables are completed on time
- Organizing Google Drive, documents, media assets, brand information and working files
- Supporting marketing campaigns, studio promotions, events and launches
- Conducting light research related to brands, trends, media opportunities and marketing initiatives
- Attending occasional meetings or working sessions at the Whitby studio
- Taking ownership of the small but significant details that keep a busy marketing and PR operation running smoothly
As the role grows, there will be opportunities to become more involved in PR outreach, campaign planning, social strategy, influencer and brand partnerships, events and business development.
Who We're Looking For
You might be a great fit if you are:
- In the final year of a college or university program in PR, communications, marketing, advertising, business or a related field OR a recent graduate looking for your first industry role
- Extremely organized and naturally good at keeping track of deadlines and details
- A strong writer and communicator
- Comfortable working independently and asking smart questions when needed
- Familiar with Instagram, TikTok and the broader social media landscape
- Comfortable using tools such as Google Drive, Docs, Sheets and Canva
- Interested in beauty, skincare, makeup, media or the creator economy
- Someone who notices what needs to be done and takes initiative
- Professional and comfortable communicating with brands, PR agencies and external partners
- Able to balance multiple projects without letting details fall through the cracks
Previous internship, co-op, agency, social media, PR or marketing experience is an asset, but we're much more interested in initiative, judgement, organization and potential than an extensive résumé.
How the Role Works
This is primarily a remote, flexible part-time position.
For students, hours can be structured around your class schedule. Recent graduates who are building their early career are equally encouraged to apply.
You should be able to travel to Whitby, Ontario approximately once per week when needed for meetings, planning sessions, content days or studio work. You'll also have the option to work from the studio when useful.
The role will begin at approximately 8–10 hours per week at $22–24/hour, based on experience, with the potential for hours and responsibilities to increase as the business grows.
For the right person, the goal is to develop this into a full-time junior marketing and PR position by spring/summer 2027.
Why This Role Is Different
You'll be joining at an early stage of growth and working directly with the founder rather than sitting on the sidelines of a large marketing department.
That means exposure to a wide range of real-world work: television, PR agencies, beauty brands, social media, partnerships, events, a growing skin and beauty business and the operational side of turning marketing opportunities into results.
For a student or recent graduate interested in beauty, PR, marketing and media, it's an opportunity to build meaningful experience now — with the potential to grow into your first full-time role as the business grows.
