About Culinary Coworking

Culinary Coworking is a shared commercial kitchen that supports Alberta food businesses and their teams as they grow.

More than 20 local food businesses produce food and beverage products from our facility, many of which are sold throughout Alberta. We support these businesses by providing a professional production environment, reducing barriers to growth, and maintaining a strong community of food entrepreneurs.

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking person to join our Facilities Team and help us maintain a clean, organized and well-cared-for facility.

The Role

You will work alongside our Facilities Manager to maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout our commercial kitchen.

The position includes regular cleaning responsibilities such as sweeping, mopping and washroom cleaning, along with a rotating schedule of detail cleaning throughout the facility. The goal is to stay ahead of the areas that naturally collect dust, dirt and buildup over time so they never get to the point of requiring a major deep clean.

We’re looking for someone who can work independently, take ownership of their responsibilities and notice cleaning opportunities without always needing to be asked.

What You’ll Do

- Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility
- Clean and maintain washrooms
- Clean common areas and shared spaces
- Empty garbage and recycling as required
- Clean doors, fixtures, walls and other shared surfaces
- Complete scheduled rotational detail cleaning of less frequently cleaned areas
- Help maintain organization throughout the facility
- Clean and care for facility cleaning equipment
- Assist with basic facility and equipment cleaning or maintenance tasks




- Identify areas that need attention and take initiative to address them
- Communicate cleaning, maintenance or facility concerns to the Facilities Manager
- Help maintain Culinary Coworking’s food safety and cleanliness standards

- Comfortable working around food businesses in an active commercial kitchen
- Friendly and respectful when interacting with our members and their teams
- Previous commercial cleaning, janitorial or facility experience is an asset
- Experience in a commercial kitchen or food-production environment is an asset

Physical Requirements This is an active position. You must be able to:
- Lift, carry, push or pull up to 40 lbs
- Spend extended periods standing and walking
- Bend, squat, twist and reach above and below shoulder height
- Use stairs and ladders when required
- Perform repetitive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, wiping and scrubbing

Hours & Compensation $20/hour

Approximately 25–30 hours per week

This position will have a regular weekly schedule. Some flexibility may occasionally be required depending on facility needs.
