Job Type: Part-time / Full-time

Pay: Start from minimum wage ($18.25)

About the Position

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and friendly team member to join our kitchen and packing line at Mary Brown’s Chicken in Courtenay.

The successful candidate will help prepare food, maintain the cooking and packing stations, and ensure customer orders are prepared accurately, quickly, and according to Mary Brown’s standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook food according to company procedures and food-safety standards

Work efficiently on the cooking and packing line during busy periods

Pack customer orders accurately and ensure all items are included

Prepare sides, sauces, and other food items as required

Keep kitchen, preparation, and packing areas clean and organized

Follow proper food-handling, cleaning, and sanitation procedures

Check food quality, portion sizes, and presentation

Restock ingredients, packaging, and supplies when needed

Work as part of a team to provide fast and friendly service





Follow all workplace health and safety procedures

Perform other kitchen duties as required

Requirements

Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is an asset, but training will be provided

Reliable and punctual

Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Positive communication and teamwork skills

Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties

Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Must follow food-safety and hygiene requirements
