Role Description The L2 Systems Administrator – IT Managed Services role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mississauga, ON. This role involves managing and maintaining client systems and networks, including servers, workstations, and related infrastructure in a managed services environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing advanced troubleshooting, resolving escalated technical support issues, monitoring system performance, and applying updates, patches, and configurations to ensure stability and security.

The L2 Systems Administrator collaborates with other team members to implement solutions, support onboarding of new clients, document technical processes, and contribute to continuous improvement of service delivery.



The role requires proactive communication with clients, clear documentation of work performed, and adherence to best practices in system administration and information technology management.

Qualifications

- Solid skills in System Administration, including managing servers, workstations, and operating systems in a multi-client or managed services environment.
- Demonstrated experience in Troubleshooting and Technical Support, with the ability to resolve complex, escalated issues efficiently and accurately.
- Proficiency in Network Administration, including configuration and support of switches, firewalls, VPNs, and basic routing.
- Solid foundation in Information Technology principles, including security best practices, backup and recovery, and infrastructure monitoring.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, Microsoft, or similar credentials are an asset.
- Experience with common MSP tools (RMM, ticketing systems, documentation platforms) is beneficial.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage priorities, and deliver reliable on-site support.
