Salary Range
$32.04 per hour (with wage increments to a max of $36.06 per hour). Salary and wage increments are in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

WHAT IT TAKES
- Experience with hands-on operation of fabrication equipment, that may include laser cutters, water jet cutters, CNC routers, lathes, saws, drill presses and/or milling machinery;
- Experience with a range of hand-tools used in a fabrication environment;
- Demonstrated English language skills, together with effective oral and written communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Work safely in an industrial/fabrication environment and model safe practices for others;
- Develop and implement safe working protocols in an industrial/fabrication environment;
- Maintain a clean and efficient workspace;
- Work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines and establish priorities;
- Troubleshoot and assist others with troubleshooting;
- Ability to lift up to 10 kg on a routine basis and up to 25 kg on an occasional basis;

Additional Information
- This on-call position is available starting September 14, 2026.
- Hours of work will typically be scheduled between Monday to Friday, HOURS OF WORK 9:30am – 6:30pm. Scheduled hours range between 4 hours to 7 hours per day depending on the assignment.
- Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required.
- The position is located at the New Westminster; however, successful candidate must be available for occasional work at all Douglas College campuses and offsite locations.
