The Backyard Nursery & Landscaping Ltd is a small but growing business in Victoria, BC.
We offer lawn and garden maintenance services primarily in the Oak Bay & Fairfield area and are currently expanding to other parts of Victoria. We also do some small to medium size soft scape landscaping installations which can include planting plants, bringing in recent soil and mulch as well as redesigning gardens completely. Our goal is to provide a reliable, professional and personable service to all of our clients.
Who you are
We are seeking a dedicated and self driven Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and landscaping, with a strong desire to learn and grow in the landscaping industry.
Your day to day responsibilities
- Perform seasonal yard clean ups
- Conduct weekly/bi-weekly lawn & garden maintenance including mowing, line trimming, planting, weeding, and pruning
- Operate and maintain power tools and trucks for landscaping tasks
- Assist in building and installing landscape features such as shrubs, trees, sod & soil
- Use hand tools effectively & efficiently for various landscaping activities
- Dumping green waste at the end of the day
- Follow safety procedures while performing tasks
Experience
- Previous experience working outdoors or in a physically demanding job considered a strong asset
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance considered an asset although, (no previous experience is required for this role)
- Ability to work efficiently in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

- Full BC drivers license
