Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

Our Brucejack Recreation
Committee, run by employees on a volunteer basis, organizes activities and events to make camp life fun and bring people together. The committee also plans holiday decorations, charity raffles, and outdoor events, helping create a warm and friendly community.
Your Impact
As a Shop Laborer, you will play a key role in supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the Mobile Equipment Shop. Through strong housekeeping, equipment preparation, material management, and safety inspections, you will help keep maintenance activities running smoothly and contribute to operational excellence.
As Part of the Team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
- Support trades technicians with day-to-day shop activities.
- Manage waste oil, filters, and other service materials responsibly.
- Organize and track ordered parts and shop consumables.
- Wash and prepare equipment before maintenance activities.
- Complete routine shop and safety equipment inspections.
- Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Supply Chain, Operations, and Environmental teams to achieve shared goals.
Prerequisites
- Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
- Experience working in an industrial environment; mining experience is an asset.
- Robust attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Experience operating equipment such as forklifts and skid steers is an asset.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in demanding conditions.
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts on a rotational schedule at a remote site.
- Ability to successfully pass pre-employment medical, fitness-for-duty, and drug and alcohol testing.
- Valid driver's license and TDG certification are considered assets.
Work Environment
This position is based at a remote mining operation and involves working in an industrial shop setting.
The role requires a hands-on approach, working both independently and collaboratively while maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

The expected salary range for this role is CAD $32.28/hr + 10% STIP. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
