Toronto Metropolitan University is reshaping the downtown core of Toronto with three recent buildings: the Mattamy Athletic Centre at the Gardens, the Toronto Metropolitan University Image Centre in the heart of campus, and a Student Learning Centre on Yonge Street. In addition, currently in progress is the development of a new multipurpose building, the Church Street development (CSD).



This new building will be located just north of Dundas on Church Street and will be home to four academic health services programs, Toronto Met.

University food services, administration, and a student residence.

Qualifications

Enrolled in: 1st year Masters, 2nd year Masters or PhD Greater preference will be accorded first to Doctoral candidates, then Master's candidates.

- Should there be no qualified Masters students, qualified Law School students will be considered

Relevant Experience:
- Successfully completed all first year law courses in a recognized Canadian law school AND have completed or are currently enrolled in a course related to intellectual property, law & technology, communications law, entertainment law, or privacy; OR
- If enrolled in graduate program in Business, completion of a Business Law and Advanced Business Law course with a minimum of B+ in each AND completion of Intellectual Property Law, Privacy Law, or Issues in Information Technology Law; The strength of your application will be improved by other law courses with a minimum of B+; Equivalent courses considered with transcript
- Preference: Enrolled in Law School at an Undergraduate Program as specified above or a Graduate Program in Law;
- Overall academic performance at B+ and above;
- Excellent legal writing and research skills;
- Excellent oral communication (English) and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent computer skills;




- Previous evaluation of performance as an Assistant at the University is preferred, especially experience as a teaching assistant in business
