As the Lead, Infrastructure (IS) Project Management (PM) Practice, you will be the business steward for the maturity, creation and continuous improvement of project management practices and processes across Infrastructure Services. This position is responsible for overseeing and guiding project management practices, ensuring that project management methodologies are effectively implemented and adhered to, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and driving the successful delivery of infrastructure projects. This role establishes and governs what project management looks like across Infrastructure Services, providing department-wide direction through governance, standards, roadmaps, and reporting.

Primary duties include

Qualifications





- A degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline with at least 10 years of engineering (post P.Eng) experience in a complex project management environment.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA on the 1st day of work is required.
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 etc.) will be considered a strong asset.
- Experience managing complex municipal infrastructure projects is an asset.
- Program management experience is an asset.
- Success in this role requires strategic thinking and decision-making skills, robust organization skills. The ability to manage and support the team, as well as good political acumen and solid communication skills are essential in this role.
- Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.

Workstyle

- This position may be eligible to work from home for at least part of the time as one of several flexible work options available to City employees. These arrangements depend on the operational requirements of the role, employee suitability, and are subject to change based on operational needs and corporate direction.

Position and Pay Information

- Business Unit: Capital Planning & Business Services
- Union: Exempt
- Position Type: 1 Permanent
- Compensation: Level A2E $144,595 – 180,744 per annum
- Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week.
- Days of work: This position works a 5-day work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
