Role Description The LNG Instructor is a part-time, in office role based in Ladysmith, BC. The instructor will deliver classroom and assist in practical training on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) operations, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance for marine industry participants. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, developing instructional materials, delivering lectures and demonstrations, overseeing practical exercises, and assessing learner performance through tests and assignments.

The LNG Instructor will maintain up-to-date knowledge of Transport Canada and other relevant regulations, ensure training aligns with current industry standards,



and participate in course development and continuous improvement. The role also involves providing learner support, maintaining training records, and collaborating with colleagues to support program scheduling and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in LNG operations, handling, and safety within the marine or energy industry.
- Robust instructional, presentation, and facilitation skills, with experience delivering technical training to adult learners.
- In-depth understanding of Transport Canada and applicable international regulations related to marine LNG use and transport.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Relevant professional certifications or licenses in marine operations, engineering, or LNG-related disciplines.
- Post-secondary education in marine engineering, nautical sciences, transportation, or a related technical field is an asset.
- Experience in curriculum development, assessment design, and use of instructional technologies is beneficial.
- Strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in an academic and training environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Ladysmith, BC, and support occasional flexible scheduling based on course and vessel requirements.
