Rockyview General Hospital, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Alberta Health Services (AHS) Calgary Zone, and the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary are actively recruiting for a 1-year Locum Generalist Obstetrician & Gynecologist, commencing full time in July 2027. The locum physician would cover a series of leaves for existing staff at RGH Hospital, including Obstetrics and Gynecology on call shifts, operating rooms, Rapid Assessment clinic and outpatient clinic duties as booked by the physician on leave. The position includes clinical education of medical students and residents, coordination of patient follow up and rounding on hospital in-patients.

Candidates must have their FRCSC in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. All candidates will be required to have clinical academic appointments with the Cummings School of Medicine University of Calgary.

Qualifications:

FRCSC Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Incumbent must be an active member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a member in good standing.

The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.

Must read, write and speak English.
