Work Arrangement: In-Office
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are looking for a motivated, highly organized OTR Dispatch/ Logistics Coordinator to join our growing logistics team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional who wants to build a career in transportation, logistics, and supply chain management.
The successful candidate will initially work closely with our logistics leadership team supporting over-the-road (OTR) trucking and dispatch operations, with the prospect to expand into rail, intermodal, and other logistics functions as the business continues to grow.
We are open to candidates with previous dispatch or logistics experience, but we are equally interested in individuals with a strong educational foundation in supply chain, transportation, logistics, or business who are eager to learn.
What You’ll Do
- Support daily OTR trucking and dispatch operations
- Coordinate drivers, loads, pickups, and deliveries
- Monitor shipments and proactively communicate delays or changes
- Maintain regular communication with drivers, customers, carriers, warehouses, and internal teams
- Assist with load planning and scheduling
- Track shipment status and ensure accurate updates are entered into internal systems
- Prepare and maintain transportation and shipping documentation
- Help resolve routine delivery, scheduling, and transportation issues
- Support carrier coordination and follow-up
- Assist with freight-related reporting and administrative tasks
- Work closely with senior logistics leadership on operational priorities
- Gradually take on rail coordination and other logistics responsibilities as trained
- Support future logistics projects as the department expands
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Transportation, Operations, or a related field preferred
- Previous dispatch, transportation, logistics, freight, or warehouse experience is an asset but not required
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage several priorities at once in a fast-moving environment
- Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with drivers, carriers, customers, and internal teams
- Detail-oriented and reliable
- Comfortable working with Google Worksheet, spreadsheets, email, and logistics systems
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility
- Able to work independently while also following direction and established processes
Important We are specifically looking for someone who wants to learn the logistics business from the ground up and grow with the company.
While the role will begin with a strong focus on OTR trucking and dispatch, it is intentionally broader than a traditional dispatcher position. The successful candidate may eventually support rail, intermodal transportation, warehousing, and other areas of our logistics operations.
Why Join Us?
This role offers hands-on exposure to a growing transportation and logistics operation and the opportunity to work directly with experienced logistics leadership.
For the right person, this is not intended to remain an entry-level dispatch position. As you develop your knowledge and capabilities, there will be opportunities to take on more complex operational responsibilities and grow within the logistics organization.
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
Benefits
- On-site parking
- Paid time off
Work Location: In person
