Grit Security is hiring professional and observant Loss Prevention Officers for retail locations across the Lower Mainland.

The Loss Prevention Officer will help prevent theft, monitor suspicious activity, protect store assets, and respond appropriately to security incidents while maintaining a professional approach.

Duties

- Monitor customers and store activity for suspicious behaviour
- Conduct floor patrols and observe high-risk areas
- Assist with theft prevention and loss prevention investigations
- Monitor CCTV cameras when required
- Identify and document incidents of theft or suspicious activity
- Approach and deal with incidents according to company policies and legal requirements
- Complete detailed incident and activity reports
- Work closely with store management and security supervisors
- Contact police or other authorities when required
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused presence
- Perform other site-specific security duties as assigned

Requirements

- Previous experience in law enforcement, security,



or loss prevention roles is highly desirable
- Valid BC Security Worker License / BST required
- AST is an asset
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and CCTV system operation
- Familiarity with loss prevention practices and procedures to identify theft or fraudulent activities
- Ability to remain alert and vigilant during long shifts while maintaining professionalism under pressure
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with law enforcement, staff, and management effectively
