As Maintenance Aide at Chartwell, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our residence, equipment, and grounds meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Your hands-on skills and problem-solving ability will help create a comfortable, worry-free home for our residents, while supporting the smooth operation of the community.

What You’ll Do

- Help with regular maintenance tasks and keep records up to date
- Repair and maintain furniture, fixtures, outdoor spaces, and common areas
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests and report issues as needed
- Prepare suites for new residents, including small repairs and painting
- Assist with preparing suites for new occupancy, including minor carpentry and painting
- Keep supplies organized and follow all health, safety, and infection control rules

What You’ll Bring

- Secondary school education or equivalent experience
- Previous maintenance experience and ability to use equipment safely




- Strong teamwork and communication skills with staff, residents, and vendors
- Organized and able to keep work areas safe, clean, and efficient

Additional Requirements

- Ability to perform frequent physical duties including bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and lifting tools or equipment
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Willingness to wear personal protective equipment as required
- Preparedness to respond to emergency situations
- Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
