Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems.

Responsibilities

- · Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.

· Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. · maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and make minor purchases as required.

· Respond to requests from residents for minor repairs.

· Perform daily inspections on the building systems.

· Provide general assistance to skilled trade persons such as mechanics, electricians, carpenters, and plumbers.

· Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs.

· Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.

· Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse.

· Empty trash cans and other waste containers

· Coordinate the preparation of housing units prior to the arrival of new residents.

· Ensure that security and safety measures are in place in the establishment.

· May move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.

· May supervise other workers.





- Conduct inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests and communicating effectively with team members and clients.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for future reference.

Experience

- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of building systems, electrical systems, and mechanical principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting issues.
- Robust communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience in customer service is highly desirable, ensuring positive interactions with clients during maintenance visits.
