What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Director, Sales, Marketing & Communications, the Manager, Marketing & Communications leads the day-to-day delivery of Niagara Parks' marketing and communications initiatives. This role oversees digital marketing, website content, SEO/AEO, social media, e-commerce, communications materials, and campaign performance while providing leadership to the marketing and communications team. The position works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, on brand, and aligned with organizational objectives.
The Manager, Marketing and Communications will:
- Lead and oversee the Marketing & Communications team, including workload management, coaching, and performance development.
- Manage digital marketing initiatives, websites, SEO/AEO strategies, social media, e-commerce programs, and content creation.
- Coordinate marketing projects and priorities using project management tools and processes.
- Support paid and earned media initiatives, media relations, and strategic communications activities.
- Collaborate with internal departments to prioritize, develop, and deliver marketing and communications projects.
- Monitor campaign and content performance,
leveraging analytics and reporting to optimize results.
- Assist with the development and implementation of annual marketing and communications plans and budgets.
- Conduct market research and monitor industry trends to support business objectives.
- Ensure timely delivery of marketing materials across digital, print, and on-site visitor channels.
- Participate in hiring, employee development, health and safety compliance, and departmental planning.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
- Post-secondary degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7+ years of progressive marketing, communications, or sales experience and previous supervisory and/or management experience.
- Experience developing and executing digital marketing campaigns, communications materials, and sales support initiatives.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience within the tourism sector.
- Strong understanding of marketing management principles, strategic marketing planning, analytics, and market research.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, e-commerce, SEO/AEO, and content marketing best practices.
- Proven ability to review, evaluate, and proof marketing and communications materials with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lead, direct, and evaluate staff performance to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Solid written and verbal communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience providing constructive feedback, managing performance, and driving continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
