We are looking for a senior media executive with a proven track record in digital audio and video, a deep understanding of audience habits — particularly among adults aged 18-34 — and exceptional editorial judgment.

You will bring original audio and video concepts to life by combining your creativity, organizational prowess, digital expertise and structured strategic approach to drive innovation.

- Pitch innovative digital and audio formats tailored to audiences aged 18-34.
- Maintain content quality and accuracy in line with Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices.
- Co-ordinate seamlessly across your teams, distribution channels and internal partners.
- Help design and execute audience acquisition, growth and distribution strategies across digital and social platforms.
- Manage department budgets.

This is a hybrid position with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines. To succeed in this role, you must have the following:

- University degree in journalism or a related field.
- Minimum ten (10) years’ journalism experience.
- Substantial management experience as a managing editor and/or content manager.

Skills:

- Deep understanding of digital formats and social media platform dynamics.
- Extensive experience producing digital content tailored to young adult demographics.
- Experience in video and audio production.
- Strong working knowledge of the podcast ecosystem and production workflows.
- Comprehensive understanding of newsgathering, editorial workflows and newsroom operations.
- Strong creative vision and an innovative mindset.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Superior editorial judgment and deep familiarity with Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive workplace situations with tact.
- Ability to thrive under pressure while managing dynamic, evolving projects.
- High degree of initiative,

self-direction and strategic foresight.
- Complete fluency in French (the primary working language).
- Intermediate English proficiency across reading, writing and speaking (Level BBB).

Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing. We thank all applicants for their interest, but only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.

As part of our recruitment process, candidates who advance to the next step will be asked to complete a background check. This includes:

- A mandatory Criminal record check.
- Other background checks may be conducted based on the operational requirements of the position.
