Elora Road Meats is a well-established, family-operated meat processing facility serving farmers and retail customers since 1976 in South Bruce Ontario.

We're looking for a detail-oriented Meat Wrapper to join our team and support our butcher shop by packaging fresh meat products, and maintainging a clean work area, and ensuring customers receive properly labeled, high-quality items. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, rapid paced environments, and consistent routines

Key Responsibilities

- Meat packaging - Wrap, weigh, and label fresh meat products accurately
- Display preparation - stock counters, rotate inventory, maintain packaging integrity, and maintain attractive product displays
- Sanitation duties - clean workstations, equipment, and packaging areas throughout the shift
- Customer assistance - provide friendly service, answer basic product questions, and direct customers to butchers for specialty questions and cuts. Answer phone inquiries and booking of animals.
- Support general shop operations - Assist butchers with packaging, organizing, and maintaining workflow as needed.

This position will be full-time Monday-Friday. This may include longer days and weekends on occasion.



The fall is typically busier with hunting season and more hours would be needed.

Required Qualifications:
- Attention to detail - Ability to label, weigh, and package products with accuracy according to customer specifications and direction from butchers
- Food Safety awareness - Understanding of basic sanitation and safe-handling procedures (training provided)
- Physical capabilities - Ability to lift 40-60+lbs, stand for long periods, and work in cold environments (0-4C).
- Reliability - Consistent attendance and punctuality.

Preferred (Not Required):
- Food Handler Certificate (will send for training if needed)
- Experience in grocery, deli, or meat-counter environments
- Familiarity with scales, label printers, or vacuum-seal machines an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
