Our team of professional engineers, designers, and technologists apply their extensive expertise acquired through education and practical experience on a wide variety of building projects.

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Technologist to join our design team.

Duties include

· HVAC and Plumbing systems calculation, design and drafting

· Coordinate mechanical requirements with other disciplines/Utility agents/City

· All phases of project development

· Project administration services during construction

· Research and carry out development work to upkeep the Company design standards to the latest codes and technologies The ideal candidate will have:

· BCIT diploma or equivalent, in building mechanical systems design

· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

· Experience with heating and cooling load calculations using Trace Load 700 software.

· Experience in Plumbing and HVAC systems design

· Experience with the requirements of the British Columbia Building Code and Plumbing Code, ASHRAE 90.1, ASHRAE 62.1 and local municipal by-laws.





· Ability to communicate effectively with design team members and with site contractors.

· Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

· Ability to manage projects and work independently with minimal supervision.

· High motivation to deal professionally with clients to ensure they are satisfied.

· Knowledge of energy modelling, energy step code will be considered an asset.

· Revit experience and knowledge will be considered an asset.

· Electrical design experience and knowledge will be considered as asset.
