Position Summary
This Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) in MRI will be responsible for providing excellent patient care and the production of high quality MR Imaging using their technical expertise. The MRT will work effectively and efficiently while complying with departmental guidelines. The MRT acts as a role model for both professional standards of practice and organizational core competencies.
Duties are conducted in accordance with the Standards of Practice of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists and the Regulated Health Professions Act. This MRT reports to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging through the MRI Charge Technologist.
Qualifications
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification required additional certification in Nuclear Medicine considered an asset
- Working knowledge of the Standards of Practice of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists and the Regulated Health Professions Act.
- Member in good standing with the CMRTO required for MRI.
- Member in good standing with Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists
(CAMRT) preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to function independently.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated computer literacy.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Control and Quality Assurance Programs.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and multi task efficiently and effectively.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of protected handling and use of all equipment.
- Satisfactory work performance and attendance record required.
