As part of the growth of its transactional practice in Montreal, a nationally established business law firm is seeking a lawyer to join its Mergers & Acquisitions team. The firm advises corporate, entrepreneurial and institutional clients on strategic transactions across Canada and internationally. As an Mergers and Acquisitions lawyer, you will actively participate in all stages of major transactional matters, including acquisitions, business sales, strategic investments and corporate reorganizations.

The role offers direct exposure to high-impact mandates involving significant financial and commercial considerations. Participate in mergers and acquisitions involving private and public companies Work on acquisitions and divestitures structured as asset or share deals Contribute to the legal structuring of complex transactional operations Draft,



review and negotiate a broad range of transaction documents Conduct corporate and commercial due diligence Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (tax, financing, litigation, etc.) Monitor file progress and coordinate the various transactional stages Contribute to the development of legal and commercial strategies related to transactions 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in mergers and acquisitions or transactional business law ~ Experience gained in private practice, ideally within a high-level practice ~ Excellent legal drafting and analytical skills ~ Robust understanding of corporate and commercial issues ~ Bilingual (French/English) Mentorship from recognized M&A; professionals Strong platform for building a long-term transactional practice
