GUARDIUM SECURITY SERVICES is currently looking for an OPERATIONS MANAGER to oversee the Operations Dept. in our security division within the GUARDIUM GROUP OF COMPANIES. This individual will work closely with other members of the management team within Guardium, and will be expected to conduct themselves with the utmost respect and professionalism towards employees, clients, and vendors.

The Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:

- Proven track record of achievement and success in security and operations. With a minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years experience.
- Competitive, team player, and driven to be #1.
- Innovative, self-starter and determined.
- High energy and outgoing personality with a genuine interest in people.
- Must have impeccable communication skills, effective time management, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with computers, MS Office (Word, Excel) and applications.
- Strong awareness and use of IT, social media, and phone/device apps.
- Solid background in B2B sales, and business and marketing development.
- Affinity to create solutions to security and risk management concerns.
- Experience in preparing proposals for RFP’s and business security assessments.

What is the job? Duties and responsibilities:
- The basics:
- Must have a valid current Alberta Security License (ABST).
- 1st aid and CPR/AED certification.
- Excellent English communication skills (speak, read, write).
- Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Clean Class 5 drivers license (Class 4 is a asset).
- Ability to provide training in all security areas, leadership, and guidance to security staff.




- Complete all Operations Manager roles and responsibilities and provide assistance and support to the Regional and Senior Manager where and when required.
- Collaborate and communicate daily to support the office admin & HR dept’s to ensure scheduling and staffing is complete, and make adjustments as necessary.
- Oversee and support 24/7 Dispatch Call Centre.
- Recruitment, development, retention and dismissal of staff.
- Setting up orientation and training of guards. Coordinating training modules and courses.
- Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data.
- Knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada a strong asset.
- Oversee care and upkeep of mobile fleet and equipment.
- Upkeep and submission of mobile billing, fuel logs, shift reports, incident reports, and run sheets.
- Perform and covering mobile patrols, alarms, and call outs if and as necessary.
- Development and follow-up of all SOP’s, duties, and PO’s for all client sites.
- Review, develop, and enforcement of all company policies and procedures.
- Drafting of and execution of service agreements and contracts.
- Familiarity with OH&S;, COR certification, and sitting on safety committee.
- Deliver on deadlines and targets, both for sales development and operational facets of branch.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
