The Production Worker is responsible for the daily manufacturing and production in the warehouse.

The Production

Worker will operate processing machines and assist the process control and machine operators.

The Production

Worker must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment and follow all safety precautions.

Position Functions

Maintain a clean work area and equipment. Operate shop equipment to produce steel and wire products as per customer orders. Perform work in compliance with company safety policies, standard operating procedures, and Occupational Health and Safety Act standards Safely operate overhead cranes and mechanical lifting equipment (upon certification) to maneuver raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods throughout the facility

Bundle, tag, pick,



and stage finished steel for shipment; assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed Working Conditions Repetitive tasks Manual dexterity Standing for extended periods of time Physical Requirements Weight handling of up to 50 lbs Direct Reports None Core Competencies Able to utilize various measuring devices including Vernier Calipers and measuring tapes.

Proficiency in operation, setting up and adjusting industrial machines and equipment.

Communication

Working with others Hand-eye coordination Must provide your own Steel-toed safety boots Preferred Qualifications Criminal record check, medical exam, drug test Industrial experience considered an asset Mechanically inclined with robust mechanical aptitude

Experience operating, setting up and adjusting industrial machinery

Experience using various measuring devices such as vernier calipers, tape measure.

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent #INDHP
