We are looking for a passionate and energetic Optometric Assistant to join our busy practice. Experience in optical or healthcare settings is preferred but not required—we provide comprehensive training and support for the right candidate!

Position Details

- Job Type: Full-time
- Expected Hours: 36 – 42 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (No weekends!)
- Shift Requirement: Includes one required evening shift per week (Thursday)
- Location: In-person (New Hamburg, ON)
- Transportation: Reliable transportation is required due to limited local public transit options after 5:00pm. Ride Share is not available from Recent Hamburg.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver excellent customer service in-person and by phone.
- Support optometrists with clinical pre-testing (full training provided on our advanced equipment).
- Assist patients in choosing eyeglasses and frames.
- Manage invoice payments and appointment scheduling.

Qualifications

- Brings a friendly, enthusiastic, "can-do" attitude every day.
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Confident communicator with a problem-solving mindset.




- Willingness to learn and grow with our team.
- Previous experience in eye care or customer service is an asset, but not required.
