Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate part-time "Pack Leader" to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of our Day Camp, Stay & Play and Catnap Cottage guests - ensuring they are healthy, safe, exercised, fed and loved. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for animals and are looking to make a positive impact in the lives of animals in our care.

Hours

Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 330pm-630pm

Saturday/Sunday 730am-1030am (every other weekend hours is an option)

Duties

As a Pack Leader, your responsibilities will include:

- Providing daily feeding, watering, and exercising for up to 15 dogs/cats at a time
- Cleaning and maintaining animal enclosures (indoors and outdoors) to ensure a hygienic environment
- Monitoring the health and behaviour of dogs/cats, reporting and documenting any concerns to management
- Maintaining accurate records of dog/cat care activities and observations




- Collaborating with team members to ensure high standards of care are met at all times
- Processing and recording payments via cash and electronically

Experience The ideal candidate will possess:

- Previous experience in the animal care industry - preferably vet tech or kennel experience
- A solid understanding of animal behaviour and welfare practices
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively on an individual or team basis
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail in all aspects of animal care.
- The ability to handle physical tasks associated with animal care, including lifting and moving animals when necessary
