Lucullus Bakery is looking for a reliable and hardworking Bakery & Kitchen Team Member to join our Toronto Premium Outlets location. This is a permanent, part time position primarily intended for applicants who are available on weekends.

You will work with a small team to prepare, bake, finish, and present our bakery and quick-service food products while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen.

Lucullus Bakery has been serving traditional Hong Kong buns and pastries since 1991. We focus on freshness, taste, texture, presentation, quality ingredients, cleanliness, and a welcoming customer experience.

Pay: $17.60 per hour, increasing to $17.95 per hour effective October 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

- Prepare, bake, steam, finish, and present approved bakery and food products
- Follow recipes, production schedules, portion standards, and food-safety procedures
- Measure and mix ingredients and assist with molding and shaping dough
- Operate proofers, ovens, steamers, mixers, and other bakery equipment safely
- Help maintain appropriate product levels throughout the day
- Prepare products and ingredients needed for the following day
- Monitor product quality and presentation
- Clean and sanitize equipment, work surfaces, floors, refrigerators, freezers, ovens, mixers, and proofers
- Receive, organize, and rotate ingredients and supplies as assigned
- Help minimize unnecessary food waste
- Answer occasional customer questions about products or ingredients
- Support the front-of-house team when needed
- Complete other duties required for the bakery’s daily operation

- A valid food-handler certificate is required

- Ability to follow recipes and instructions consistently
- Basic math skills and comfort working with metric and imperial measurements
- Ability to work efficiently in a hot, busy kitchen environment
- Willingness to clean and maintain equipment and work areas
- Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays, including early-morning, daytime, or evening shifts
- Flexibility to work some holidays and occasional weekday shifts when available

Previous bakery, kitchen, restaurant, or food-production experience is an asset but is not required.

Physical requirements

This position involves continuous standing and walking, frequent bending, turning and reaching, repeated use of both hands and wrists, and frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing up to approximately 22 kg/50 lb.
