Part-Time Motorcoach Driver – Edmonton to Fort McMurray

We are hiring a reliable, professional, and safety-focused Class 2 Motorcoach Driver for our scheduled Edmonton ↔ Fort McMurray passenger service.

This is a part-time position operating every Tuesday and Sunday. Each shift is a same-day Edmonton to Fort McMurray return trip.

Vehicle: 2000 Prevost H3-45, 56-passenger motorcoach

Pay: $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: Approximately 24 hours per week

Schedule: Tuesdays and Sundays

Route start: Mid-September 2026

Work location: Edmonton, AB

Responsibilities

● Safely operate a full-size motorcoach between Edmonton and Fort McMurray

● Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections

● Report any mechanical defects, warning lights, tire concerns, damage, or other safety issues

● Follow all traffic laws, commercial vehicle regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and company procedures

● Arrive on time and operate the scheduled route safely and professionally

● Greet passengers and provide friendly, professional customer service

● Verify passenger bookings and redeem/check in tickets using the company booking system

● Assist passengers with luggage when required

● Make scheduled pickup, drop-off, and rest stops

● Keep passengers informed of significant delays or changes

● Maintain a professional and respectful environment onboard

● Check the coach for lost belongings after every trip

● Complete required trip paperwork and vehicle documentation

End-of-Trip Cleaning The driver is responsible for leaving the motorcoach clean and ready for the next service. This includes:

● Removing garbage

● Sweeping or vacuuming the passenger area as required





● Straightening seats and passenger areas

● Wiping spills and visibly dirty surfaces

● Checking for lost property

● Inspecting and cleaning the onboard restroom as required

● Restocking basic restroom supplies when needed

● Reporting any excessive mess, damage, or maintenance concerns

All required inspection and cleaning time is included as paid working time.

Requirements

● Valid Alberta Class 2 Driver’s Licence

● Valid air brake endorsement

● Acceptable driver’s abstract

● Previous commercial passenger transportation experience preferred

● Experience operating full-size highway motorcoaches such as Prevost, MCI, or similar is strongly preferred

● Comfortable operating a full-size 56-passenger motorcoach

● Comfortable with long-distance highway driving

● Must be consistently available Tuesdays and Sundays

● Reliable and punctual

● Strong safety awareness

● Qualified communication and customer service skills

● Able to assist with passenger luggage

● Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for ticket verification and trip communication

● Able to work independently and make safe decisions in changing road and weather conditions

Schedule The regular route operates:

Tuesday: Edmonton → Fort McMurray → Edmonton

Sunday: Edmonton → Fort McMurray → Edmonton The route is expected to begin mid-September 2026.

Shortlisted applicants must be available for a trial drive and orientation before starting regular service.
