As a member of the BGIS Sustainable Cleaning Solutions Team, you will be generally responsible for cleaning in a designated zone with an emphasis on quality control, health and safety & striving to exceed client expectations.

Dry/wet mop (wash/scrub) and polish hard surface floors. (The washing/scrubbing of floors is done with handheld or auto scrubbers. In large open applications, automatic equipment may be used to perform these functions) Dry/wet mop (wash/scrub) and polish hard surface floors including washroom floors. (In large open applications, automatic equipment may be used to perform these functions) Transport maintenance machinery, where necessary, between floors and job sites Cleans glass areas requiring ladders, scaffolding or other extension equipment to reach. Loads and unloads supplies and replenishes cleaning solutions Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures Strip, seal, finish,



and polish floors Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors Remove snow and debris from sidewalks, driveways, or parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, or snow shovels, or spread snow melting chemicals.

Experience in performing various cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance activities in an institutionalized environment.

Experience in using floor maintenance machines, cleaning equipment, materials and solutions. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, clients and the general public. Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays and shifts as assigned as well as work in multiple locations.
