Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Pawn Broker to join our financial services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of valuation, lending, and customer service, ensuring a seamless experience for clients seeking short-term loans or selling valuable items, but prior experience is not required—we offer complete training and strong team support.

This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic retail environment where integrity and professionalism are paramount. The Pawn Broker will be responsible for evaluating items, providing loans, and managing inventory accurately and efficiently.

All candidates must pass a police background check.

Duties

- Assess and appraise the value of items brought in by customers, including jewelry, electronics, tools, etc.
- Provide short-term loans based on customer's accounts and item valuation, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of transactions, including customer information, item descriptions, and loan terms.
- Manage inventory by tracking pawned items and ensuring proper storage and security.
- Conduct customer consultations to explain loan terms,



repayment options, and purchase procedures.
- Process sales of pawned items or unredeemed merchandise in accordance with store policies and the city's bylaws.
- Ensure all transactions adhere to legal standards and company procedures for ethical lending practices.
- Assist in maintaining a professional and welcoming environment for all customers.

Skills

- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulations.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple transactions efficiently.
- Knowledge of security procedures related to handling valuable items is a plus. Pay: $15.50 per hour
