Payroll Specialist (1-Year Contract - Remote) Our client, an established organization with operations across Canada, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Payroll Specialist to join their team for a 1-year contract opportunity. Reporting within the payroll department, this role is key in supporting full-cycle payroll execution, system auditing, and employee inquiries.

This position offers a 100% remote work arrangement . You will join a collaborative, customer-focused team that emphasizes knowledge sharing and operational excellence within a standard 37.5-hour workweek.

Your success will be defined by your ability to: Support full-cycle payroll administration, executing gross-to-net calculations, new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, and manual adjustments Utilize Workday Payroll and Workday Time Tracking modules to review timecard entries, resolve discrepancies, monitor daily HR audit reports, and support ESS/MSS functionality Calculate payroll worksheets and ensure accurate payroll journal creation through final processing Respond promptly to employee inquiries via the payroll inbox while ensuring full compliance with Canadian privacy legislation and union/regulatory standards Maintain audit-ready documentation and collaborate closely with cross-functional HR and Benefits teams Your strengths include: Mandatory Certification: Active Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation through the National Payroll Institute Workday Expertise: Minimum 6 months of direct,
