Role: Performance engineer

Location: Vancouver, BC(Onsite)

Mode: Contract

Experience: 12+yrs

Responsibilities:

- Strong expertise in performance engineering with hands-on experience in providing architecture design recommendations and performance tuning solutions.
- Ability to understand application architecture, identify components requiring performance evaluation, and perform deep-dive analysis.
- Capable of understanding intake requests, identifying areas of impact across the application landscape, and defining the scope of performance testing activities.
- Excellent hands-on expertise in JMeter. Knowledge of Locust and K6 is an added advantage. Should be able to develop scripts, solution accelerators, and custom stubs. Experience across the end-to-end Performance Development Lifecycle (PDLC), including root cause analysis to identify and resolve performance defects.




- Solid monitoring and observability experience, preferably using Datadog, Splunk, and AWS CloudWatch. Experience in setting up monitoring and observability dashboards is required.
- Good understanding of the Retail domain, particularly Order Management Systems (OMS), Inventory Management, and end-to-end order processing workflows, with specific knowledge of Sterling OMS functionalities.
- Expertise in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes/POD environments, and CI/CD setup is required.
- Ability to monitor databases, identify performance-impacting queries, and provide tuning recommendations.
