Who We AreTwo founders built an agency for medical aesthetics. Med spas, injectables, lasers, surgeons,
across Canada and the US. The creative work is the best in the category, and our clients say so unprompted.
No one has ever owned the performance side. Not neglected, not on fire. It grew the way things grow at a small agency, one client and one channel at a time, without anybody whose job was to decide how the pieces fit together and what we count.
Our clients trust us because we don't just generate leads. We help them build better businesses.
Now we're looking for someone who wants to help us build the next chapter.
Why This Role Is DifferentMost paid media jobs stop at Google Ads and Meta. This one doesn't.
Yes, you'll own campaign strategy, budgets, optimization, audience targeting, creative testing, bidding strategies, and reporting.
But we expect you to think much bigger than the ad account. If campaigns aren't performing, we don't want you immediately changing bids.
We want you asking better questions.
- Is the landing page creating friction?
- Is the offer compelling?
- Is the tracking actually accurate?
- Are phone calls being attributed correctly?
- Are we generating the wrong type of lead?
- Is the consultation process hurting conversion?
- Are we optimizing for leads instead of booked appointments?
You'll work closely with our Creative, SEO, Web Development, and Account Management teams to identify opportunities across the entire patient acquisition journey. You won't own every part of the funnel. But we expect you to understand how every part influences performance.
Why It's a Harder Problem Than It LooksAesthetics is one of the worst measured categories in marketing, and not because the people in it are careless.
The booking sits inside a medical record system the ad platforms cannot see. A big share of conversions arrive by phone rather than by form. Health is a protected category, so half the targeting and remarketing tools you would normally reach for are switched off before you start.
And the outcome that matters is not a lead. It is someone who booked a consult, turned up, had the treatment, and came back three or four times a year for a decade.
Most of the industry has quietly settled for counting form fills. We don't want to do that, and we think whoever solves it properly in this category will have an advantage for a long time.
What You'll OwnGoogle and Meta across the book, and everything underneath. Campaign strategy, account architecture, budget management, audience strategy, creative testing, conversion tracking, tagging, attribution, call tracking, performance reporting, optimizations, the loop that pushes booked appointments back into the platforms so bidding chases people who show up instead of people who type, and the reporting clients actually look at.
One person holding both halves, deliberately. If your name is on the number, you should decide how it gets counted. You'd do it while the accounts are live.
Most importantly... You'll own the performance of every advertising account assigned to you.
If performance improves, we'll know why. If performance declines, we'll expect you to know why.
The PaceWeek one is not onboarding. You get access on day one, and we would expect you in theaccounts that afternoon. By Friday, we want to hear what you changed and what it was costing us, not what you plan to change.
By day 30, priority accounts should have a clean path from ad click to booked appointment with call tracking live. By day 90,
there should be a dashboard a client can open on a Tuesday afternoon and understand without one of us on the phone.
That is fast. It is meant to be. This is not a job you settle into over two quarters.
Who We're Looking ForSomeone who goes looking. Nobody here is going to hand you a list of things to optimize. The best opportunities on these accounts are the ones nobody has thought to ask about yet. If you spot something small and wrong while you are already in an account, fix it rather than raise a ticket about it.
And someone who will argue. You will sit in client meetings and we need you to say the uncomfortable thing with the arithmetic behind it. Clearly, once, and then again when they did not hear it the first time. We will back you every time.
You should understand
- Google Ads
- Meta Ads
- Performance Max
- Google Analytics 4
- Google Tag Manager
- Offline Conversion Tracking
- Call Tracking
- Landing Page Optimization
- Attribution
- CRO
- Looker Studio
You don't need to be a developer. But you shouldn't be blocked by HTML, tracking scripts, or technical conversations.
Agency experience is preferred. Medical aesthetics experience is a huge advantage.
What You Need on Day OneGoogle Ads and Meta, at a level where you are the most knowledgeable person in the room about both. On Google, that means Performance Max, local campaigns, and location assets,
not just search. On Meta, it includes the unglamorous half: Business Manager, asset ownership,
domain verification, and the settings that quietly break accounts.
Google Tag Manager, including server-side containers, built rather than maintained. GA4
configured rather than installed. Offline conversion import, and knowing why in this category it runs on click ID and nothing else.
Enough JavaScript to write a dataLayer push, and enough SQL to answer a question GA4's interface will not answer honestly. That sentence will cost us some applicants. It is also the one we are least willing to move on, because every measurement problem worth solving here sits behind it.
And this category's rules. If you have never had an ad account restricted over a health classification, you probably have not worked here. If you do not know why a Botox before-and-after is fine in Florida and unlawful in Ontario, you would be learning it in week one,
and we would much rather you already knew.
What You Would Pick Up HereEvery clinic runs a different booking system. Zenoti, Jane App, Aesthetic Record, Boulevard, GoHighLevel, Podium, and a few you have never heard of. We do not expect you to know them.
We expect you to walk into a new one and work out within an afternoon whether it stores the click ID at booking, and whether it will hand you back a completed appointment with a revenue figure attached. If you have done that once, with anything, you can do it with all of them.
Same with the sites. Webflow, WordPress, and Shopify across the board, and you would be editing pages, fixing forms, and shipping landing pages yourself rather than waiting in a queue.
You do not need to be a developer. You need to not be blocked by HTML.
Call tracking, Looker Studio,
and the rest of the reporting layer are the same story. Concepts transfer. Platforms are a week.
How You Would Work the NumbersHalf of this job is quantitative. Cohorts, repeat intervals by service line, lifetime value, budget pacing, and the judgment to know when a difference between two numbers is a result and when it is noise. If you have ever designed a holdout to prove a channel caused something rather than merely preceded it, lead with that, because almost nobody in this category has.
The other half is qualitative, and it gets skipped nearly everywhere. Sitting with call recordings until you notice that half the leads are existing patients rebooking. Reading what people actually typed into the form. Mining competitor reviews for the objection everybody has and nobody answers. The numbers tell you what happened. That work tells you why, and why is the thing a client is paying for.
We also have Claude across the business, and we are early in using it properly. If you already work this way every day, that is a real advantage here rather than a line on a CV.
What We Are Not Asking ForNot a developer. Not a data scientist. Not someone who has touched every platform named above.
Job ads in this discipline routinely ask for advanced Java and Python for what is, in practice, a media buying role. That is how you end up hiring against a job that does not exist. We would rather name the handful of things that genuinely matter on day one and be honest that the rest is learnable within a month.
Roughly four years in, agency side or across a few brands, and comfortable running a lot of small accounts rather than one big one.
What We Cannot Offer You
- A big budget. It is four figures a month per location, and everything here is won on precision rather than scale.
- A team. You would be the paid media function.
- A quiet life.
Our founders are involved, opinionated, and quick, and they will ask you a hard question in a meeting with no warning.
- One brand to go deep on. This is a portfolio, and the context switching is real.
What We CanComplete ownership of a discipline, at a company that has just decided it matters enough to hire for it.
Nobody sitting between you and the people who make the decisions. And a genuinely interesting problem in a category that has mostly given up on solving it.
CompensationCAD $75,000. Remote. Full-time.
How This Runs
1. Half an hour with our VP of Operations. Your background, the scope, and team alignment.
2. An hour looking at a real anonymized account together. No prep, no slides. We are watching how you think, not what you can recite.
3. A Case Study
4. Forty-five minutes with the founders.
5. References, then an offer.
You get a yes or a no within two business days at every stage. If we are asking you to move fast, we should too.
How to ApplySend your CV and an answer to this:
We read the answer first.
A med spa runs $4,000 a month on Meta and nothing else. Last month it recorded 52 leads at
$77 each. The owner says the clinic feels busier than last year and wants to double the budget going into Q4.
What do you need to know before you can tell them whether that is a valuable idea?
What would you build first, and why that before anything else?
And what would you tell this owner they are wrong about?
The last one is the question we are actually reading.
