Location: Hybrid, Toronto
Status: Full time, Permanent
Reason for vacancy: Existing Vacancy

Starting Rate for Position: $80,000
Job Posting Opening: Sept 1
Job Posting Closing: Sept 11
About the Role
We’re looking for a strategic, results-driven Performance Marketing Manager to own paid search and paid social for our in-house marketing team. You’ll manage and scale a growing portfolio of fundraising campaigns across multiple verticals — from professional and amateur sports to charitable foundations and community organizations — with full ownership of Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and Meta, plus the freedom to test emerging channels.
This is deliberately a hands-on and strategic role. Our paid portfolio is already healthy and performing and we want someone who can bring the vision, forecasting, and testing discipline to take it to the next level: sharper budget allocation across campaigns, a clear test-and-learn roadmap, and a point of view on where the next dollar of spend should go.
About the Company
Founded in 2010, Ascend Fundraising Solutions provides online and in-venue fundraising technology used by some of the world’s most notable non-profit organizations.
We are disrupting the fundraising model: helping charitable organizations raise funds through our electronic raffle solutions, grow recurring donations, build on their donor datasets, deepen engagement across their donor databases, and achieve record donor revenues.
As a leading provider of strategy and technology for 50/50 raffles, sweepstakes, and Catch the Ace raffles, we’ve helped over 500 charitable organizations raise more than $1 billion on our platform to date and we’re only just getting started.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, manage, and optimize paid search (Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising) and paid social (Meta and emerging platforms) campaigns that drive player and donor acquisition across multiple fundraising verticals.
- Own budget management and pacing across a concurrent portfolio, allocating spend to maximize ROAS and hit acquisition and revenue targets for each partner, vertical, and campaign period.
- Set and drive the paid media roadmap — a structured test-and-learn agenda across audiences, creative, bidding, and placements — and turn wins into repeatable playbooks.
- Develop bid strategies, audience segmentation, and creative testing frameworks that improve CPA, ROAS, CTR, and conversion rates.
- Run compliant campaigns within regulated gaming and lottery advertising rules (e.g., Meta Special Ad Categories, Google gambling policies, and provincial/state requirements).
- Establish and maintain authoritative performance reporting and year-over-year tracking; turn data into clear insights and recommendations for internal leadership and partners.
- Identify and evaluate new paid channels, formats, and audiences to grow the portfolio, and make the case for where incremental investment will pay off.
- Partner with creative, email/CRM, analytics, product, and client-facing teams to deliver a seamless journey from ad click to sign-up, purchase, and retention.
- Forecast performance, set targets, and report on the effectiveness of paid initiatives.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3 years in paid media / performance marketing, with a proven track record managing paid search and paid social at scale.
- Deep, hands-on expertise with Google Ads (Search, Performance Max, YouTube) and Microsoft Advertising, and with Meta Ads Manager (TikTok or other social platforms a plus).
- Strong command of budget pacing, bid strategy, audience building, and creative testing across a multi-campaign portfolio.
- Fluency in measurement and attribution — GA4, platform reporting, and building and maintaining performance trackers — with the ability to turn data into action.
- Strategic thinker and portfolio operator:
able to set a paid media roadmap, forecast outcomes, and prioritize investment across competing campaigns rather than only executing tactics.
- Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM tools, and an understanding of how paid connects to the full funnel.
- Excellent communication and copywriting skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple concurrent campaigns, budgets, and stakeholders.
- Experience with regulated advertising (gaming, lottery, or gambling) and/or the non-profit and fundraising sector is a strong asset.
Why Should you Join The Company
- A team that is intellectually curious, dedicated, and willing to get the job done.
- Help grow a company that helps charities and non-profits fund their causes.
- Beautiful, downtown Toronto office with lake views and close proximity to transit.
- Competitive compensation package.
- The support you need to develop and advance your career.
- Hybrid work environment.
