Hello, my name is Ben. My pronouns are him/his. I am a college student in the social sciences and planning to transfer to an university. I am also involved within many parts of the community which gives me opportunities to teach and slowly change society.

I am looking for new support workers so that I can continue building my career. I have quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and bilateral hearing loss. I call my body as a non-traditional body and since I utilize many technologies for my independence, I call myself as a cyborg.

I am looking for a support worker who can be committed to be with me for at least six months and whom I can professionally rely on. By professionally, I mean someone who has valuable work-ethics with honesty and empathy. With honesty and empathy, you will be able to support me through my daily routines.

The routines involves within my most private areas of life. Here are some tasks so that you can have a sense - rolling me in bed, inserting anal suppositories,



showering me, putting on external catheters, cleaning any skin damages, activating my gag reflex to help me cough. You’ll be cooking and preparing my food to go through my gastrointestinal tube.

Outside the routines involves helping me by shopping for me, keeping track of our inventory and communicating with our team members. Often you’ll have free time during the day with my expectation that you’ll be available when needed. If you value discipline within your life, then this job is for you.

But the job is NOT boring. I like watching tv, reading books, music, going to concerts/raves, rolling through the neighborhood, and having fun. You’ll be welcomed to take part within some of my activities.

Currently looking for someone who will work on Saturday’s, Sunday’s, and potentially Monday (only overnight).

During the training process, you'll read through our training materials and shadow another worker for a few times, then start doing tasks on your own with their guidance until you're confident. Training rate is 300/24HR. Regular pay is 350/24HR.

You’ll be spending overnight in your own room with a bed. You can use my bathroom accordingly to your needs. Our place is around public transport.

The job is regulated under the provincial employment law.
