We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals in need of support in their daily lives. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support with medication administration following prescribed guidelines and protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental health and reduce feelings of loneliness
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living workplace
- Help clients with mobility exercises or transfers to ensure safety during movement
- Monitor and report any changes in health status or behavior to healthcare professionals or family members
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience caring for seniors or individuals with disabilities, including dementia care
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient approach
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
- Certification as a Personal Support Worker or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided for qualified candidates
