PRIVATE PSW NEEDED – BALDWIN/GEORGINA

We are looking for a kind, patient and dependable PSW to provide private in-home care and companionship for an elderly couple in our family home in Baldwin.

Regular schedule – 15+ hours/week, with additional hours available

Monday: 4:00–9:00 PM

Tuesday: 4:00–9:00 PM

Thursday: 4:00-9:00PM

Sunday: 12:00–9:00 PM

We are hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with seniors and will take the time to talk with them, keep them company and do activities with them, in addition to helping with their evening care.

Duties include:

- Showers on Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Organizing dinner — no cooking required, just heating and serving prepared meals
- Cleaning up after dinner
- Assistance with toileting and personal care as needed
- Light housekeeping, mainly related to their care and cleaning up after dinner/washroom use
- Changing bed linens when needed
- Some laundry
- Activities, conversation and companionship
- Helping with their evening routine

Both are seniors with dementia, so patience,



kindness and experience with dementia care are very important. This is a private family position, not an agency position. We are looking for someone dependable who wants a consistent, long-term position and who will get to know them and become a familiar and trusted person in their lives.

There will also be opportunities for additional hours from time to time, such as when we need extra coverage.

PSW certification or equivalent caregiving experience preferred. References and a current Vulnerable Sector Check required. Reliable transportation is necessary due to our location.
