About the Role
LOCVM's mission is straightforward: we match doctors with the clinics and hospitals that need them. LOCVM is a two-sided marketplace that connects doctors, clinics and hospitals with a community of physicians interested in locum work (temporary coverage). Enabling these two groups to find each other at the right time is critical to our success. Building that community is at the heart of this role.
Our vision is to be the platform physicians grow with, from their first placement to the career they choose to build.
We're looking for a Physician Community Specialist to join LOCVM's founding team . We're looking for someone who loves networking, building relationships, and understanding what physicians need.
You'll spend a significant part of your time connecting directly with physicians across Canada: learning how they:
- Find coverage when they need to take time off
- Find opportunities to take on locum work
You'll be responsible for understanding what is and isn't working for them, introducing them to LOCVM, and helping them get started when the platform can help. You'll work closely with physicians already using LOCVM, helping them navigate the platform, following up on opportunities, and making sure we understand their experience. You'll take the lead in connecting physicians with locum opportunities and help to facilitate transactions and track key data points that help us make informed decisions about the health of our marketplace.
You'll also build relationships with the organizations and communities that connect physicians, including Ontario Health Teams (OHTs) and similar regional health organizations, medical student and resident associations, physician organizations, and other medical associations across Canada.
As part of our founding team, you won't be following an established playbook. You'll help us build one. The conversations and relationships you develop will directly inform how we grow our community, improve our platform, and decide where to focus next.
This is a remote role based in Canada. Initial onboarding will take place in person in Toronto.
