Physician Assistant –

SKIN Clinics – Brandon, Manitoba

SKIN Clinics is seeking a motivated, personable, and clinically skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Brandon team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Physician Assistant with a keen interest in dermatology, surgical procedures, and minor procedures to work alongside our physicians and clinical team in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

The ideal candidate is confident in a clinical setting, demonstrates strong surgical proficiency, and is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care. This role offers the opportunity to develop and utilize your skills across dermatology consultations, surgical procedures, patient follow-up, and ongoing clinical care.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

-Assist physicians with surgical procedures and minor dermatologic surgeries.

-Participate in dermatology visits, including patient assessments, history taking, and clinical documentation as appropriate to scope of practice.

-Perform or assist with minor procedures

-Provide pre- and post-operative patient care and education.

-Conduct follow-up phone calls with patients regarding procedures, treatment plans, results, and post-operative care.

-Support physicians with patient assessments, treatment planning, and clinical follow-up.

-Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and electronic medical records.

-Ensure appropriate infection prevention and control practices are followed during clinical and surgical procedures.

-Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, medical office staff, and other members of the healthcare team.

-Provide a welcoming, professional, and patient-centred experience throughout the patient's visit.

Contribute to a collaborative and efficient clinic environment.

Perform other clinical duties as required and within the PA's scope of practice.





Qualifications & Requirements

-Current Physician Assistant certification and eligibility to practise in Manitoba.

-Demonstrated surgical proficiency is required.

-Previous experience assisting with or performing surgical procedures is required.

-Strong clinical assessment and patient-care skills.

-Keen interest in dermatology, skin health, and minor procedures.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate clinical documentation.

-Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and the broader clinical team.

-Professional, organized, compassionate, and patient-focused approach.

-Experience in dermatology, surgery, minor procedures, or a related clinical setting is considered a strong asset.

Position Details

Location: Brandon, Manitoba

Hours: Part-time to full-time

Work setting: In person
