Role Description The Physiotherapist will provide evidence-informed assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for clients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and orthopedic conditions in an on-site clinical setting in Victoria, BC. Daily responsibilities include conducting comprehensive physical evaluations, developing personalized treatment plans, delivering manual therapy and exercise-based interventions, and monitoring patient progress. The role also involves educating clients about injury prevention, rehabilitation strategies, and self-management techniques, while maintaining accurate clinical documentation and collaborating with other practitioners such as chiropractors, acupuncturists, and massage therapists.
This is a contract role,
requiring active participation in clinic operations, scheduling, and occasional team meetings to coordinate patient care and contribute to a positive clinic culture.
Qualifications
- Current registration and good standing as a Physiotherapist (or Physical Therapist) with the appropriate regulatory college in British Columbia.
- Demonstrated skills in patient assessment, treatment planning, manual therapy, and exercise prescription for a variety of musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and provide transparent education to patients.
- Ability to work independently in a busy clinical environment, manage a varied caseload, and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, ongoing professional development, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards in physiotherapy.
- Experience in private practice or multidisciplinary clinic settings is an asset; additional training in specialized areas (e.g., sports injuries, pelvic health, chronic pain) is beneficial.
- Comfort with basic clinic technology, electronic medical records, and scheduling systems to support efficient patient care.
