With a continued focus on service and customer relationships, we are growing rapidly and looking for team members who will support our Barrie location.

Position Overview

Quartz Co is seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Polisher to join our production team. This role is ideal for someone experienced in polishing, finishing, and detailing quartz, porcelain, and natural stone surfaces with precision and care.

Work Hours

- Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Perform high‑quality polishing and finishing of quartz, natural stone, and porcelain surfaces using wet/dry hand tools and grinders.
- Create precise edge profiles, underside details, and mitres to meet workmanship standards.
- Carry out repairs, touch‑ups, and fine finishing to ensure all pieces meet Quartz Co’s quality expectations.
- Review completed pieces against shop drawings and templates to confirm accuracy before release.
- Inspect surfaces for imperfections, inconsistencies, or defects and correct them promptly.
- Communicate any quality issues or recurring concerns to the Manager to support continuous improvement.




- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all health and safety protocols.

Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience in stone polishing or fabrication (quartz/porcelain/natural stone)
- Skilled with hand tools, polishers, grinders, and measuring tools
- Ability to read shop drawings and measure precisely
- Physically able to lift heavy weight (with equipment/team support)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Reliable, safety‑conscious, and a strong team player

Work Environment

- Indoor shop with some outdoor exposure (non‑temperature‑controlled)
- Physically demanding: standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive tasks
- Moderate to high noise levels
