What the role looks like The Product Analyst is a developing product professional who supports the discovery, definition, and delivery of product initiatives across CanCap’s lending lifecycle. At the intermediate level, you bring growing independence — handling routine product analysis and documentation on your own, while developing the depth and stakeholder skills to take on increasingly complex initiatives alongside your Product Manager.

Core Mandate

- Lead product analysis for assigned initiatives: Own requirements gathering and documentation for assigned product initiatives of routine-to-moderate complexity. Facilitate stakeholder sessions, produce user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows with growing independence.
- Maintain and evolve product artifacts: Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation including user stories, process maps, backlog items, and release notes. Apply and contribute to team standards; flag gaps or improvements to the Product Manager.
- Conduct product and market research: Research business problems, competitive landscape, and user needs to inform product decisions. Synthesize findings into clear, actionable recommendations for the Product Manager and stakeholders.
- Own testing and validation activities: Lead UAT planning and execution for assigned features. Define test cases, coordinate with QA and business stakeholders, track defects, and confirm resolution before production deployment.
- Track delivery and communicate status: Maintain sprint boards, track risks and dependencies, and provide regular status updates to the Product Manager. Proactively surface blockers and issues before they impact delivery.
- Build domain expertise: Develop and maintain deep knowledge of CanCap’s lending lifecycle, systems,

and LOB-specific business processes. Serve as a growing subject matter resource for your assigned LOB.
